A major new prison is being built adjacent to the existing prison at Featherstone, Staffordshire. The project consists of a number of buildings, including three large cell blocks on a Greenfield plot.
This major new custodial facility comprises a self-contained Category B Prison and a Young Offender’s Institute providing over 1,600 cells.
Application
825 was used in external expansion joints on all building and on all external windows out of the secure areas.
Antipick 109 was used on the external windows in the exercise areas due to its antipick properties.
Pu40 was used externally on expansion joints in the exercise yards were extra movement was needed but still kept its antipick properties.
Primer p1 was used for extra adhesion strength on all the external panels in conjunction with 825 and pu40.
Foam backing rod was used to control the depth and prevent 3 way adhesions on all joints externally over the Prison.
